Morning asks her question again.
What will you be this day?
How will you vote with your breath today?
Will you live for living or for dying?
Morning asks everyone, every morning, every day, everywhere.
I am a mass of habits with mindfulness peaking through.
Habits answer Morning's question, “Like before”.
Most habits speak self-protection,
A bland dialect of defensiveness.
Morning listens to everyone, every morning, every day, everywhere.
When my mind peaks out from behind my habits,
I look morning in the eye.
I vote my breath the world forward,
Directed toward vitality - life.
Mindfulness happens, some mornings, some days, some ones, some where.
When morning tells this story,
she smiles steady with hope.
Morning knows that the mind burns through habit
like sun burns through morning beach fog,
Every morning, every day, every one, everywhere.
So Morning asks her question again....
